About me
I received my PhD in Physics from the University of Granada in 1996 and I have been a Full Professor in the Department of Applied Physics since 2000.
My teaching activity is mainly focused on General Physics, Meteorology and Climatology, Environmental Physics and Renewable Energies in the Physics and Environmental Sciences degrees, and Remote Sensing Techniques of Aerosols and Atmospheric Radiation in the Master of Geophysics and Meteorology.
My main lines of research are two, in the field of radiation covering different wavelength ranges (solar radiation, infrared radiation, ultraviolet radiation, photosynthetically active radiation) and in the field of aerosols, by characterizing them through optical and physical properties, with both active and passive remote sensing techniques, as well as studying the effects of aerosols on radiation. In addition, in recent years I have been studying ultrafine particles and pollutant gases, which have a great influence on air quality and health.
