About me

I was born in Almería, where since I was 16 years old I have combined studies and work. I studied Administration and Computer Management for the Development of Computer Applications. Later I started studying Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Almeria, and although I didn't finish it due to lack of exclusive dedication, it was quite productive.

I have always liked nature very much, and as a teenager I became more aware of our environment, the society in which we live and the problems and damage we cause to the environment, so I developed a proper ecological awareness. In the current socio-environmental context, aware of the threats that endanger living conditions and life itself on our planet, I decided, after a multitude of educational activities and a long and diverse work experience, to turn my life around in order to try to understand and improve our relationship and respect for the natural environment. For this reason I graduated in Environmental Sciences from the University of Almeria, where I collaborated with the Department of Agronomy and the Andalusian Centre for the Evaluation and Monitoring of Global Change.

Afterwards, I graduated in the Master in Geographic Information Technologies at the University of Alcalá, and I am currently doing my PhD studies in Earth Sciences at the Department of Ecology and the Physics of the Atmosphere research group at the University of Granada, where we study carbon and water balances in managed ecosystems through remote sensing and field measurements, in order to optimise resources, help their adaptation to climate change and improve carbon sequestration.

Although I am a newcomer to the world of science and research, I hope to be able to continue and make my small and humble contribution to understanding and improving our relationship and respect for the natural environmen.
